Damp & Mould Competence Framework

Our framework defines the knowledge and skills required to deal with damp and mould competently across roles: customer service and housing officers, repairs operatives, surveyors and technical managers.

It sets clear expectations for triage, risk assessment, investigation, correct diagnosis, communication with residents, remedial planning, and accurate record-keeping. Competencies align with Awaab’s Law and Housing Ombudsman guidance.

Organisations can use the framework to plan CPD, assess individuals, target supervision and create evidence for internal and external audit.
